character turn around - chosen design

 For my subject I decided to revisit a character that's existed from my Concept Drawing class and take a different design approach from its original. His name is Axel, and he's about 13-14 years old. He's a young, adventurous character that comes from a hidden sci-fi society. 

Background:

Axel is a young, adventurous kid who loves technology and exploration. He comes from a small society of people post apocalypse where few have survived and advanced in technology to keep up with survival. A lot of these weapons and crafts are made from recycled metal and other material. Just like his people, Axel is very scientific and smart for his age and crafts most of the things he wears and carries such as the flail and shoes that has a button that expands to give it cushion and make them bounce. He's the youngest in the group, and serves as their hope of expanding the land again in a more advance society.
